Frequently Asked Questions

Where are your products made?

Our products are handmade, in small batches, in Winter Garden, Florida.

Why do you make your products in small batches?

Products made in small batches will ensure that every time you buy from us, you will receive a consistently high quality product. Additionally, small batch products will be fresher than the mass produced products you will see from other companies. In most cases when you receive a product from us, it has been made within the last week or two.

When should I start using beard care products?

Beard oil and beard soap can be used within days of starting your beard journey, as they are designed to keep your skin and beard hydrated, soft, and healthy. Essential if you are experiencing any itchiness, pain, or dry skin. Beard balm will also nourish your beard, but is best for shape and control. Generally, you can add this to your routine when your beard reaches 1/2 inch in length.

What is the difference between beard oil and beard balm?

The simple answer is that they are both great conditioners for your beard, but beard oil is better for your skin and beard balm is better for shape and control. For a more detailed answer click here.

How is your beard soap different from shampoo or body wash?

Our beard bar soap is an all natural, mild, soft beard and face wash that will not dry out your beard and skin like traditional over the counter liquid soaps and shampoos. Additionally, our beard wash contains no harsh chemicals, parabens, sulfates, or scent, so you are safe to use it daily if needed.

How much product should I use?

The perfect amount will differ for each person, but a good starting point for beard oil and beard balm is a dime sized amount for short beards, a nickel sized amount for medium beards, and a quarter sized amount for larger beards. Keep in mind, with all natural products, sometimes less is better than more, and when you are using beard oil and balm together, use a little less of each than when you use them separately.

How do I choose the best scent for me?

Choosing your beard product scent is not always easy, especially if you are not able to smell it in person. You should always like your scent, but keep in mind, the scent is more for the people around you. If you aren't sure, ask your romantic partner what scent they like, that way they won't be able to resist snuggling up to your beard. Another great option is to try one of our sample 3 packs.

I don't like overpowering scents, how strong are yours?

We don't like overpowering scents either, so all of our blends are more subtle than strong. We use only pure essential oils for our scents, so they will naturally fade over time vs. other brands that use synthetic fragrance oils that can definitely overwhelm you and the people around you.

Will your products help my beard grow?

The answer to that is yes and no. Consistently using all natural beard care products will keep your skin and beard healthy and hydrated. The proteins, fatty acids, and vitamins naturally found in the oils will provide beneficial nutrients that will promote growth of your existing facial hair. However, if you are looking for a product to create hair where none currently exists, the answer is no, and if a company promises you that, they are not being fully truthful. Always remember that genetics play a large part of how full and thick your beard will be, and beard care products are primarily for making your beard look and feel amazing.

Should I use a beard brush or beard comb?

Ultimately this will depend on what works best for you. As a general rule, a boar's hair beard brush will work best for short and medium beards, and a beard comb will work best for medium and long beards.

Why are wood combs better than plastic combs?

Most plastic combs are made by molding two pieces of plastic together, thus creating a seam than can tear and damage your beard. This can create split ends which will prohibit growth. Plastic combs can also create static electricity. Wooden comb are typically cut with a saw so no damaging seem will exist and they don't create static electricity. Wood will also naturally absorb some of your beard oil.
